Well, someone broke my passenger side mirror last weekend and I need to either replace with brand new the same one or newer style. Dealer told me 07 version is about 245 and newer one is about 269 for just housing cover which comes with marker as well.
So, I just want to find out whether it will be just direct fit or any modification is needed to fit the 2010 style mirror housing.

The 09+ mirrors are slightly larger. A lot of people complained that the 07 and 08 mirrors were too small.

2010 mirrors were a 1-year only design. You are likely thinking of 2011-12 versions. Decide, looking here
https://ragtop.org/mbbrochures/2010.html
in any event, you’ll pay ~$1000 per side for new parts, which include, housing with turn signal lens, motor, and glass. You may find used ones, but there can be a wiring problem as most newer GL have lane warning (light in mirror) and most older GL don’t. Also, if your car isn’t painted a color carried forward to 2011-12, you’ll need to paint the new housings. Know also that the wiring harness to a door mirror has many, many wires, and they are all the same color.

2013 GL550, 2013 GL450 (sold), 2010 GL350 (sold)
Nope. For one, they were a 2 year design. They were on the 2009 as well. But, I had this done on my 2010 GL350. I bought a brand new unpainted aftermarket 2011/2012 set and then had them painted with the 650 paint to match the car. Not that expensive actually. My units costed $110 each to paint compared to buying brand new OEMs they are identical to the aftermarket units. They power fold, have turn signals, puddle light, and heating function. It just doesn’t have the dimming driver side mirror and since X164s didn’t have electronic blind spot assist it doesn’t have that either. BUT they do have blind spot mirrors though, hence the dotted line down the edge of the mirror, which is VERY HELPFUL and an awesome alternative. Hope this helps!
