Help on which HID Conversion Kit

We purchased a used 07 GL450 this weekend and I want to convert to HID's. I found a kit on the web at www.hidxenonlights.com for $79 and purchased it. http://www.hidxenonlights.com/popup_image/pID/183

I then recieved an email saying "Thank you for placing your order with HID Xenon Lights! Your vehicle will
require special adapters ($24.99) and a relay harness ($49.99) to go with
the kit of your choice. Unfortunately, these 2 parts are not included but we
may add them to the order for additional $60.00. Please let us know how
you'd like to proceed. Thank you"

Can anyone advise on a kit they have bought which had everything needed and was pretty much "plug and play"?

Your assistance is kindly appreciated.

HIDextra has HID's at a decent price and they come with the error canceling capacitors. You have to let them know you need them. They are a sponsor here on the forum. Check the group buy section.

Thanks for the information. I've ordered a kit. They are having a special sale on and got it for like $43.

Yes sir, I just ordered a set for back up since the price is so low right now. Make sure to let them know you have a Mercedes and need the capacitors. They are free, included in the sale

The HID kit works beautifully with the Mercedes projector lenses. However, I can see where it is an issue with the other types of reflectors. This is not the case with the GL lenses. It is a huge improvement with perfect cut-off. I have never "dazzled anyone" and have never been flashed from a car coming towards me. The light improvement is huge with no negative side effects.

+1 on this... the cut off is perfect on our lenses. Just remember to aim it right to get the most light on the road without blinding others.

Got the lights kit installed. Right side was a little easier access and had more room to mount the Ballast cradle. I had to cut the wires just back of the HID light in order to slip the metal retaining ring on that Mercedes uses to hold the lamps in place, other than that everything was pretty much plug and play. Thanks to all who helped me out. Oh, the other thing I had to research was what the yellow and brown wires on the mercedes meant. According to research I had to put red wire to yellow and black to brown. All i know is that they work.

I've dealt with them before for another car and they haven't been holding up well. Flickering issues, wouldn't fire up the on first try, etc...

Can anyone recommend a few more reputable dealers and/or brands to look into?

Thanks
