Charge for two-tone leather interior
For 2011, the GL450 can be ordered with two-tone leather interior. I think you need to order leather and specify two-tone special order option. Ash leather + black dash/carpet/headliner or Beige Leather + black dash/carpet/headliner.
Has anyone done this? I understand there's a $250 special order charge. Does anyone know what the charge is for two-tone interior?

Went to the dealer today and saw a two-tone interior in a GL550. Black (carpet) + ash (leather) in a palladium silver. It looked very, very sharp. I think the black/beige combo may not work as well. The black dash, steering wheel and headliner gave the car a sportier look. Plus, the Ash seats and trim balanced the interior nicely.
The sticker showed N/C for the two-tone leather but separately added $250 for special order fee.
I will find out if I can order the two-tone in MB-Tex for a GL450 and pay the $250 special order charge or if I need to also add the full leather package.

had this discussion with the dealer today. can only order the two-tone if you order the leather package. does not come with MB-Tex.

Two-tone Black/Ash looks very nice in Palladium Silver. I'm going with Diamond White so I'm not sure if the Black/Ash two-tone will look as nice. I am leaning towards just going with MB-Tex black.
I was considering Ash but it's almost impossible to find a local dealer that has a white exterior / ash interior to inspect in person. Some of the dealers I spoke to said the Ash interior is not very popular.
