Factory Problems with Blind Spot Assist?
Have an '11 GL450 on order for October delivery - was just informed by my dealer that there are some issues with the Blind Spot Assist option and that this option will not be available until - at the very earliest - December production run (February delivery). Sounds like some folks on this forum have taken delivery of '11 GLs with Blind Spot Assist.
Wondering if anyone has heard the same or has any details about the 'issues'?

Just spoke to dealer again - it is an issue with 2011 GLs slated for Canadian delivery. Blind spot assist in Canada is part of a premium package. The factory is crediting $400 towards the premium package to compensate for the lack of blind spot assist. As it stands today - sounds like December production month vehicles may have blind spot assist. Couldn't get any details as to why Canadian vehicles are delayed in getting it while others on this forum obviously have it in their vehicles.

. Even if it is approved by now, December may be the first production slot for Canadian vehicles when they can have the parts in place to get it done. Isn't government wonderful?
