No sound when arming the anti-theft

2011 GL450 P2, Appearance Pkg, Leather. 2012 C250, P1, Sport, AMG Wheels, Panorama Sunroof.
No sound when arming the anti-theft
this might be a dumb question but when i lock the doors from the keyfob i do not get an audible tone. the lights flash but thats it. is that how the gl's are supposed to work or is this something i can activate?

That's just the way the GL's are. No chirp, no horn honk. Just flashing lights and the mirror's folding in (if you have the option)

I agree. My wifes c300 even has an audible tone. Oh well, no biggie.

Hey, you get a great big loud "clunk" from the door locks that's "audible."
