New 2011 450 Obsidian Black .....MSRP of $77,805 including my "must have" special order off road package...... with the USAA rebate managed $69,438. Feel pretty good about the deal!

What benefit did you receive as a USAA member?

I am in the process of ordering a 2011 GL350. One dealer I spoke to said being a USAA member was only a site to compare vehicle pricing and there wasn't any discounts for being a member. I have talked to other forum members who said being a USAA member can net you approximately $3000.00 off the end price. Who right?

Your dealer is full of it. It's $3000 after you've already worked your best deal. Don't even mention it until the very end...as it's paid by USAA and MB Corporate and not your dealer. I would probably find another dealer asap.

Thanks.. The best my local dealer would do is approximately $6000 off MSRP. So a $69,000 2011 GL350 was $63,000.00 and no USAA discount.

Yea, your dealer is full of it as stated above.
I was looking into a 2011 GL350 and almost bought one.
Sticker was $78,320 and was offered $68,900.
If they don't want to give, there is always other dealers.

If you are a USAA member....go to the USAA website, log in, and there you will see the MB discount offer. Indeed, on a GL it is 3K.

I logged onto USAA but where did you find a certificate or listing amount off for Mercedes? What documentation did you have to provide to the Merceded dealership to show you were a member? I am a member but I did not have a USAA membership card yet or do I have USAA auto insurance. My only documentation I have is when I log on and it shows me as a member with an account number.

Log in .... go to "products and services" scroll down to "shopping& discounts" click on "car buying services" scroll down to "learn more about exclusive MB discounts" that should get you into the whole process.... ultimately you spec out the car the way you want it, print out an authorization certificate, go visit the dealer! That was all I needed.... they did not ask for my USAA card, although the web info says they may do that.
