GL420 roof bar end covers
I recently bought 'roof CROSSBAR-Black part#B6 781 2128' for my GL420. I forgot to lock 2 of the black plastic end covers on and lost them. Mercedes won't supply these so I am looking for either two or set of four. Can anyone help?

You guys are for sure out of luck....MB parts are not going to stock these end caps. Anyway, I thought you need the key to put the caps on....so you have no choice but to lock them. At least to my memory.

I have still not found the manufacturer of these "Mercedes" roof bars. Thank you for replies. Any ideas how to locate the company that manufacture these for Mercedes? (I have contacted Thule but have not heard back yet)

Well not exactly, you said MB parts and I posted a response from Thule.
In the spirit of sharing information in the forum, it appears there is a now an aftermarket supplier of the cross bars on ebay. I have no experience with the product. It appears to be fairly priced and virtually identical to stock, although black in color.

My 2008 model yr factory bar end caps cannot even be placed on the crossbars unless the lock key is in them and turned 90 degrees, and then this now captured key cannot be removed until you turn it back said 90 degrees , which locks them in place . How were you even able to remove the key , in said unlocked position ? If it was possible, seems like a poorly thought out product change if it's a later model MBZ bar system that allows that.
