When I upgrade sometome before the spring I think I'll get Hankook Ventus ST RH06

There are a couple of pictures on the Vossen website that show this set up. If you look at the first page of the wheel gallery, under the 078 model, you will see a couple examples. There's a white GLK with 20x9s (street tires), and right below it is a G-Class, 22x9s, with the Toyo OP that I will get.
In talking to the "expert", he believes that the black lip of the wheel and aggressive AT tire may give the truck a "too raunchy" look.

I had the Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico - the one you are looking at - in 235/50-18 and had mixed feelings. Their turn-in and dry road handling certainly put them in the high performance, fun-to-drive category.
Although I got rid of the car (VW Tiguan SEL 4Motion) at 11,000 miles, the tires looked like they would last about 22 - 24,000 miles until 4/32." "Spirited" driving.
But they were unimpressive in wet and lousy in snow. Not a winter tire.
On the other hand, I now have 19" Pirelli Ice and Snow on my ML, and I am very impressed with them. They are better than Blizzaks in snow, they look to get 22,000 miles, and they are actually responsive and fun to drive. It's the first time in years I haven't had to mount another set of winter tires! They aren't available in your 22" size, but I have actually found a Pirelli that I like!
