New OEM Cargo Liner for GL with "Seat Feature"

Just got mine today. When the seats are up, the 'vertical' portion is held in place via 'velcro' patches.
Only gripe is that the middle section of the 'vertical' portion bulges out at the hinges when the seats are up.
If they had provided another set of velcro pieces to hold the hinge section on to the seat, it will be great.
But, I am going to try putting some 3M velcro strips in that area so that the middle portion doesn't bulge out.

2014 GL350 BlueTEC
OEM Cargo Liner
I really like the foldable design of the OEM X164 cargo liner, and I'm intrigued that it also fits the X166 (I have a 2014 GL350 BlueTEC). But I can only find this in black. Bummer.
I guess I'm going to order the WeatherTech behind 2nd row liner in tan, since we usually have the third row down for maximum cargo capacity. I guess when we use the third row seats we'll have to fold the WeatherTech down.

I got it for my GL550 X166 fits good, the only thing is I purchase an double side velcro so Mat can stick on the carpet, I used on my GL450 X164, like it !

I have tried those OEM Mercedes Cargo Liners and like someone said earlier, if you have a dog, they will slide around quite a bit. I purchased Canvasback Cargo Liners, used from ebay. Much better if you have dogs.

OK, you Canvasback people finally talked me into it! Initially I ruled it out because the web site lacked polish and the photos didn't look great, but today I took a closer look and it looks good. Plus I asked my wife and she really wants one that folds when we use the 3rd row seats. So I canceled my WeatherTech order and placed an order for the Mocha CanvasBack. I can't wait for it to arrive.

I just bought a 4x6 foot commercial rubber backed entry mat.
It rolls up behind the rear seat when the seats are up and provides great protection when the seats are down, and even covers most of the way up when all the seats are down.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I've been trying to find this type product for our 2015 GL450. Everywhere I've seen it online says it's for the x164 cars.
Has anyone learned whether it's compatible with the newer GL's?
If it's not a perfect fit, is it close enough to be usable?
Our GL came with the Mercedes branded Weathertech molded cargo liner. It's fine with the third row is folded, but we will be using our third row seats fairly often, often learning about the need to do so while we are already away from home. That's why we need something that folds.

Kevin - it works, same size and shape. The difference is that the carpet on the X166 is different and the velcro does NOT stick to the X166. This is solved by buying velcro tape and putting that on your seats.
Buy the 3m brand from home depot and it works well in my 2014 GL63 X166.

If by chance someone still reads this thread, I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to measure the width and length of the foldable liner. I have a 2017 GLS 450- 4 matic SUV. I have three kiddos and so I often go between using my third row and folding the third row down for more cargo area. As a busy working, dance, soccer, softball mom, I would LOVE to have a liner I don't have to put in, take back out, put back in, take back out, put back in- Well, you get the picture. I called my local MB dealer to see if they had any in stock, but they don't. I wish they would have continued making this product for future models. If anyone can help me figure this out, I would GREATLY appreciate it!

Mandal & Kevin, check out the threads that were posted before yours. A number of people have the X166 chassis (like yours) and say it fits perfectly. There's also a number of responses of how they like it and pricing/links. I have one and love it - I DO NOT think it's slippery, though, as some others posted - both from a dog standpoint and keeping boxes in place.

Looks like 38 is NLA so 40 may just be the new part number but I'd like to confirm before I order. Can't really find any images online for 40.
