Alcohol on MBTEX
I did an isopropyl alcohol wipedown of my black MB Tex driver's seat. Its actually pretty effective...Have any of you tried it? If I do it again, will I damage the tex?

2018 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 Coupe
I have a small hole also worn in my drivers side seat and I looked into this about 8 months ago and I believe MB sells a cushion cover for a few hundred but havent revisted this , my lid on my middle console needs to be replaced as its showing small cracking where my elbow rests also my drivers side window rollup button broke today has anyone replaced or had experienced that repair or is it simply purchasing the new button and snapping it on ?

I thought all X164 has leather seats, no?
When I punch in my VIN number it shows leather, I have still have some leftover Leatherique from my W210 and W212, then I`ll go with that, makes a day/night difference.

Alcohol on anything is generally a bad idea. It's a solvent so it breaks down pretty much anything thats held together with glue/wax/silicone.

I'm pretty sure alcohol is just fine on vinyl. I'd be cautious using it on leather, as it dissolves the oils and migrates them. I like to mix isopropyl down to 50%; still alcohol enough to dissolve oils, but not unnecessarily harsh.

Agreed that alcohol is harsh on a lot of things especially with leather, I dont think I`d be excited to try that on any leather. There are many safer options for seat cleaning and conditioning.
I only use isop. for final clean up before I paint something, about a month ago, I did brakes on my W212 and painted the calipers, that was my final prep step before painting them.

I thought my GL had MB-Tex because it showed so little wear, but the data card showed that it had leather. It is by far the most durable leather I've ever had in a car. It didn't get regular applications of anything, and it looked like a 50K interior after 250K miles of use. I would only use alcohol as a last resort for cleaning. I'm not sure if it was standard on all GLs or not.
My W164 ML has some kind of a special order interior with Alcantara centers on the seats with some very non-natural feeling "leather" according the data card on the sides. I didn't like it very much at first, but have grown to like it. I doubt it will hold up as well as the GL's leather as the miles pile up though.
