I started looking for a set for my GL and all I could come up with is a new set from Ebay for $1800 plus the cost of installation. For the amusement I asked the dealer and he gave me a ball park of $3300 installed.
Each kid already had an Ipad2 so i bought mounts from ProClip. If you went out and bought 2 ipads and 2 mounts it would only be about $1450.

I bought a set of Bluetooth Rocketfish wireless headphones ($65.00) for each Ipad2. Each kid can watch their own movie or play games and I can listen to the Sirius radio.
A single source DVD player was not working for me as I have a boy and a girl and they could never agree on what to watch.

Ipads are independent and only play content that is installed on it using Itunes. My kids are 5 and 7 and can navigate the Ipad on their own. This type of setup may not work for real young kids as you cannot control it from the front seats.

Do the mounts charge the ipads or do you have to charge them separately? My kids are almost 4 and 6 and can also navigate the ipads but they can't reach them from their car seats. This means that if we're driving, they will need to undo their seat belts to navigate it and its not worth the risk to me.
I'm really just looking for a simple system that can take advantage of the in dash DVD player and the pre-wiring. Everything else out there has DVD's built in and use FM modulators to push audio through the speakers. Is there anyone out there that just sells the monitors that plug into the prewiring?

OK, I received my new screen, and it has 2 simple inputs on the back to connect. Does anyone know how I can get the old one out? I took the back of the seat off, but can't seem to get to the screen to remove it. Is the a clip or something?

p.s. is there any video (youtube) to see the whole structure (how it assembled,..)
p.p.s i found some car with VIN 4JGBF86E78A381324 and it has a middle backseat monitor, but in EPC I just can't find the number..

but I do not have the connectors or wiring, could someone tell me how to conecter on the DVD player brand-Lemco 205 or just find out what is in the pines present
or know or procure the adequate connectivity
