2010 GL550
Highest Mileage on a GL?
Hello folks,

I recently purchased a 2010 GL550 in Arctic white. The car currently has 40k miles, which I feel is peanuts compared to some of you. I'm curious to know who has the most miles on their GL?

How about 212,000 miles on a Lincoln Navigator farm off road truck. I'd guess about 4000. in repairs. My GL550 only maintenance for 22000 miles. Must be the driver.

My vehicle is just over 5 years old now. It was made in Feb 2007. In the time I've had the vehicle here's what I've had outside of normal maintenance:
  • Steering wheel leather wore out early
  • Comand Unit died
  • Rear shock and air shock failure
  • Automatic rear hatch switch failure

I think that's all I've had, which isn't too bad in my mind.

35k on a feb 07 build GL 320. Nothing but the turbo hoses since then (recalled after failure), although I know my mileage is low...

Interestingly the COMAND replacement and rear air shock replacement were two items I dealt with my previous R500 too. Nothing else.

2008 GL320---127,987 miles. No major repairs. Only brakes 1 time, 1 broken winshield from rock off highway, and regular maintenance.

GL 450
92,500 miles on a 07 GL450. Original owner and no major repairs. Only small repair was the power steering pump recall and I paid out of warrenty for the rear camshaft seals repair. Given my annual mileage I chose not to buy extended warranty. Happy with that decision as I would have run the miles up much faster than over a longer time period.

I have 350,000kms on my '08GL320CDI; wondering if there's anyone who may know how much further I can expect to go.

2nd turbo (improper fuel filter install caused the first one to quit)
2nd transfer case
2nd set of brakes (all hwy? you bet)

2007 Mileage
113,000 miles on 2007. I'm the original owner and only major repairs have been the front airbags both at over 100k miles. Best 4X4 and SUV I've ever owned.

I agree. I've got over 160,000 miles on my 2007 GL450. It has been a great vehicle. I will drive another 50,000 to 100,000 before I buy another one. May go to a 166 ML63 or SL65 with a Renntech tune next.
