srs malfunction and light
so i got this srs malfunction last week and i took my 08 gl550 to the dealer. dealer wants $870 for the repair. they also said im due for a transmission service $550 i have ~53k miles with no wrench. sound unresonable?

The trans service sounds normal; up to you if it sounds “reasonable”.
I would want to know what’s being repaired for $870.
Be careful! I was quoted $300 to replace trunk struts in my 2004 SL when I did it myself for $50. They wanted $3000 to replace my COMAND unit for a stuck CD cartridge when I fixed it by smacking the CD-changer with a blunt object.

Think the OP has moved on given their post is nearly 10 years old. Nice use of the search feature though. Just wish those that post something looking for a response would come back in and share their outcome. We see this far too often from new posters looking for a free solution but never sharing any of their experiences.
