Talking gl450 tow hitch

This has been very informative. I just brought a tow hitch for my GL 450 from the junkyard and follow your thread to install it. Took me about six hours but it came out perfect thanks to your thread.

Carpet have velcro that attach to the carpet. I will say best Cargo liner you can get. Tray is chemically resistant. The good Genuine MB part. Before I order this cargo I look everywhere for more pictures.... nothing. For this reason I just try to help the GL X164 comunity with pictures (maybe you are in the same boat), you will have all info in one thread.
I just purchased a new-to-me 2011 GL450 (Palladium Silver) and a 2011 ML350 (Steel Grey) for my wife. I've been reading this thread with great interest and just ordered this cargo liner. Thanks to wally AMG for all the detailed posts. I'll post photos when things settle down (also in the middle of a major re-landscaping project at home!).

Also, I ordered new Weathertech all-season floor mats for all three rows, which will replace the current generic and ill-fitting carpet mats that came with the car. Wally's review swayed me to Weathertech and away from the MB OEM mats. Thankfully, my wife's MB mats are in very good condition, so no need to replace the ML350's mats at this time.

Hi The trunk bed liner is a must. I think I paid 119. and my son left two 5 lb bags of ice on it last summer. (they didn't fit in the cooler and he forgot). We came back to the car and All of the ice was melted, and caught in the liner. Not a drip outside. still a wet mess to clean, but the alternative of having all that water in the car.... the one time they save you, I feel they have earned their keep.

Try to find a way to use a set of standard Thule T-bolts.
Sometimes you have to get creative.
