6years /72K for $4999? on a 33k miles 2010 GL450

wondering should I really expect $5k worth of repairs on a GL 450 in the next 6 years...

Sounds high. I paid the dealer $4K to extend my factory warranty to 6yrs 125K miles when I bought the car new

I couldn't buy the factory warranty since I got my gl450 from Toyota dealer.. and my factory warranty is going out in couple of weeks...

Sounds high but it's a $80K vehicle. If you still have factory warranty remaining you can buy extended warranty from MB but I've heard it's slightly limited than if you're original owner.

yes, I can't buy factory extended warranty, because the car was auctioned and I bought it from a Toyota Dealer..so only after market is my choice..

Shop around. That seems high. We got a 6 yr/125k warranty for like 3k on our 2009 GL550. We bought it used as well, but this warranty was offered by our local MB dealer. It's a non-MB warranty, but covers just as much. We've used it several times already. I"d call the finance department of a couple MB dealers and see what they can offer.

Shellbmb, wow, that's really much less than what i was offered... if you don't mind please share or message me few details about the insurance co name or dealer contact, I would like to get a quote from them, is it exclusionary coverage (bumper to bumper with exceptions on regular wear and tear)..

On my older E320 daily driver I had gotten an aftermarket warranty for like 3k for 100k miles...it was from Compass the MB dealer sold it to me. $100 deductible but mimicked the manufacturer warranty.

Have you had to use the warranty yet? Would you recommend it?
