highest mileage x164 / w164.
Hey guys. Just wondering what the highest mileage trucks out there are ??? What kind of work was needed go get it there. Would make a good educational thread for everyone

2007 GL 320 CDI
I bought a 2007 320 CDI with 193K miles 2 weeks ago. The car has been maintained by thr dealer and a near perfect record of oil change every 7K miles. I put 5000 mikes since I purchased it. Runs like new. I am getting addicted.

The highest I have seen is 357k miles on an 07 cdi.
Had pretty much routine maintenance and rear airbags done to it up to that point. It looked excellent too...
My believe is that the engine is good for 500-750k miles if taken care of. The rest wears out nicely too.

I'm not surprised by the cdi engine making it that many miles. But I wasn't expecting the transmission to last that many......wow that's impressive for any automatic.... Especially how many people complain about the 722.9

2008 GL 320 CDI
2008 GL320: 180,000. FYI Learn how to maintain the basic, Oil, Fuel Filter and Brakes. I replaced left front air suspension, Fuel pump. Glow plugs last about 80,000 miles.

Bought 1.75 years ago with 108,000 miles (176k km)
Now has 146,000 miles (236k km)
Replaced 2 front struts with Arnott (slow leak)
Replacd 2 rear air springs with Arnott (slow leak)
1 set of tires
Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) sensor replaced ($100 part, 20 mins install)
Had to disassemble rear hatch handle and lube.. it was sticking in open position so you had to pop it back or the hatch wouldn't close.
Battery replaced (died at approx 6.5 years old. Fine one day, dead as a doornail next day. It was -30deg C and middle of winter though...)
Other than that, just oil, oil filters, air filters, cabin filters, bulbs.
Trans service is overdue so I need to get that done.
The truck runs like brand NEW. You couldn't find a thing different on this truck from the day I bought it.
