Wood trim on doors with cracks
It is not a big deal on a 100K mile truck, but I just noticed the wood trim on both front doors have several cracks.
Nothing you can see when the light is defused, but in sunlight they are noticeable and you can feel them with your fingernail.
Anyone else have a similar issue?
Are these easy to replace?
Anyone try refinishing them instead of replacing them?
(I am guessing it is either age, or the very cold winter we had.)

I had cracks on a cpo C320 and GL350. At first I had thought my cars were in an accident. Then I realized after buying my ML320 CDI new that it's something else. It took a few years but eventually my door trim cracked. Maybe the hot cold of the winter? My used GL has them too...I just live with it! I'd pimp it with shaved aluminum trim but I'm too cheap for those kind of mods!

Don't care to pimp it at all.
It is a family hauler, animal rescue wagon and camper tow vehicle.
I don't even know when it happened, I guess yesterday was the first sunny day I had it out, where the light hit it just right. Looked like a crack in clean glass

So there is no solution to redo this clear polyurethane? I'm having cracks in my two front doors and the part is quoted at $265 each one.
Maybe it's the Canadian winter!
