Hi everyone,
I'm very new in this forum. Anyway, i have GL320 2008 model Diesel which cranks but won't start when the engine is hot. I tried changing CPS but didn't help.

Now a different mechanic is telling me i need to replace 4 injectors. But i would like to be sure if there is a possibility that a bad injector(s) can cause this problem of engine cranks without starting when hot.

If you have a bad injector, I would think there would be code on the dash pointing to it, or some other code related to misfire, rough idle, etc.. If you don't have any dash lights, then I myself doubt this is it.

Nothing in your post indicates where you are located (USA/elsewhere?) so we have no idea if you are close to a dealer. But if you are, you can have a diagnostic run on your engine to measure the dispersion [correction/deviation] values of the injectors. If the injectors are the cause of the problem that test will show it. If all the injectors are within limits it is hard to see how the failure to hot start is related to them.
The cost of the dealer's diagnostic time is cheap compared to the cost of replacing 4 injectors if that isn't necessary.

Thank you johny75 and Fourdiesel for your suggestions/ideas. I'm also doubting if injectors are the cause of this. It only occurs when the engine is hot. After the car has started the drive is very smooth, no misfire at all. I will take it to the dealer for a second opinion.
