I'd almost bet you can't find any shop worth it's salt to even do it.
You can't imagine what's involved in changing the color of a Mercedes or any car for that matter. You going to take the motor out and paint the firewall?
It would have taken me about a year to do it right and now in 2021, around $10,000.
I managed body shops for 25 years and quit doing allover's 20 years ago.
I also drive a 2009 GL550.

But there's no way I'd change a car color in any event.

As @Max Blast has written, I also would wrap it first, sometimes we have the idea but when the project is done you see that it wasn't amazing as in your thoughts.
A few years ago I was planning to wrap my GL500 in red, but never found a good professional to do it, and now, I am selling it.

I dunno guys…we’re getting into a thread here that evidently leads to throwing good money after bad.
for me, a GL is a bargainmobile because someone before me ate all the depreciation.
it’s a very good looking and useful car for not a lot of money and I’m happy with that.
So at that price point it also gives you a little room to experiment with paints, wheels and such without mortgaging your house.
not that I would ever do that but you do you.

You can do it and if done right that color would look good on it, however, at the least you'd have to do the door jams and the liftgate area. However, you'd destroy the value of the car, a car that is not very valuable to begin with. It would be a waste of money. I wouldn't. I'd save that money for the often needed suspension work.
