Central Gateway Module - Water Damaged

Found water under driver seat on 2010 GL450 from leaking sunroof due to clogged drain.
Jump start vehicle because battery died but SRS, TPMS, SOS and DSR faults came up in message in dash. Also turn signal, wipers and back-up camera inoperative and engine fan runs continuously on high speed. Removed seat and carpet and found Central Gateway and Parktronic Modules under water below seat. No amplifier on this model. Parktronic device is sealed and unaffected but gateway module had water up to the wire harness.
Cleaned and reinstall CGM but same problems return after I drive about 20 mins. and main battery discharges overnight.
I understand these problems are related to a defective gateway module.
Should I replace with an equivalent USED module (1645407901) or NEW (1649002901)?
Any advise on how to code replacement module?
