2010 GL450 Window reset procedure please

I’ve tried everything to get the rear 2 windows to reset. Little back story. I bought the car 7 years ago and the rear 2 windows would go up on auto but come back down a couple of inches. I’ve tried resetting them to no avail. I’m either doing it wrong or something else is wrong. Anyone have the exact reset procedure for the rear windows?

also, if I’m not doing it wrong, what could cause this?

You could have moisture in your front SAM. It ended up killing my car. The rear windows rolled down due to the moisture in the SAM and the car flooded causing it to be totaled.

You could have a leaky sunroof or leaks around your luggage racks and the moisture is making it to the SAM. Make sure you address these issues because the moisture can cause serious issues with your electronics.

Mine get all wonky every time I disconnect the battery. I roll it down, roll it all the way up and hold it for 5 or so seconds after it's reached the top, then let go. It'll roll down a few inches again, and I roll it up and hold it again. That usually does the trick, but sometimes I have to monkey with variations of a manual up (single toggle) and the auto up (double toggle).

Let us know if that works or not

it unfortunately did not. I’m all out of ideas. Maybe a dealer diagnostics is in order.

map obviously the rear windows go down automatically. They won’t go up automatically when when I do manually take them up they drop back down a few inches. I’ve tried the following.

lower window, raise it in first click (not auto) and hold it for 30 seconds at the top most position. (I’ve also tried 1 second, 5 seconds, 10 and 15 seconds.

the window drops back down a few inches as soon as I let go. I quickly raise it and hold it again and this time it will stay up but it will not fix the auto up still. I’ve also tried lowing it and holding at the lower position then trying the up position but still nothing.

when I changed my battery and retrained the front windows all it took was raising them up and holding for only 1-2 seconds and it learns.

All of this is with the key either in position 1 or 2 and all doors closed.

That's pretty much what I've done for resetting the windows - although I hold the button all the way down (into the "auto" spot. I think I do about 10 seconds in the down position, then 10 seconds in the up position.

I wonder if there's an issue with the "finger saver" control? I don't know how to check that - I thought that doing a re-learn would take care of that.

both sides are doing it in the back. Has to be a Sam or programming issue.

Look in the battery compartment, under battery, and check for moisture. If any is in there. it is your SAM.
