2007 320 cdi transmission issues
transmission shifts well when having no issues, but may "get stuck" when driving. Car almomst stalls/stops, and then goes into limp. It almost feels like it it puts itself in P while driving.
I am using Delphi software for diagnostics. I am including last 2 tranny readings and my last engine codes as well.
-I seem to have permanent C144 and always speed sensor related codes.
-also steering column related codes.
-lots of other stuff...
Please see codes below.
Opinions/Direction/ Help?
Thanks:

I’m inclined to believe that all the other codes are resulting from this being the root cause issue.
There are third-party solutions that could make this a $350 DIY, and there are dealer solutions that’ll make those a $3500 dealer only repair if you listen to their spiel.
The question is, do you really want to spend that much money on a CDI that’s going to throw all kinds of other life altering problems at you.
I don’t know if your system can do that. If you don’t have a system that can do that there are third parties on the Internet who can code the new contactor plate to your car so then all you need to do is install the new contactor plates onto your old valve body, reassemble and refill the transmission fluid. The dealer will tell you that this is a theft prevention feature that locks the transmission to a car for its lifetime, and they are the only ones who can legally do it. Here in the US, we call bull**** on that.
I've had my CDI for about 5 years now and its been an amazing vehicle. We tow our trailer with it camping all the time and its the wifes daily driver. Its been pretty much trouble free overall. very happy with my first Benz product.
The fuel efficiency of the diesel is amazing. Coming from a long VAG background, I'm impressed with it.

- Inspect the Radar Sensor:
Check the front grille where the radar sensor is located. Dirt, debris, or damage can interfere with its functionality. Cleaning the sensor gently with a microfiber cloth might resolve minor issues. - Verify Alignment and Calibration:
If the sensor was misaligned due to impact or repair work, it needs to be recalibrated. This requires specialized tools and is best done by a Mercedes-Benz service center. - Check for Electrical Issues:
The external fault might stem from wiring problems or a malfunction in the control module. A diagnostic scan using an OBD-II tool specific to Mercedes-Benz can help identify error codes for a more precise diagnosis. - Software Update:
Outdated software might cause communication errors between the Distronic system and the vehicle. Ensuring your car's software is up-to-date can often fix these glitches. - Seek Professional Assistance:
If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, it’s advisable to visit a certified Mercedes-Benz technician. They have the expertise and tools to diagnose and repair complex Distronic faults. - For storing vehicle service records, diagnostic reports, and technical manuals, TeraBox MOD APK offers an excellent solution.
