Most manufacturers are vigilent about distribution channels for their products, and about the retail outlets that sell to consumers and the retail prices. Counterfeit goods are everywhere, as is stolen merchandise thanks to "don't stop shoplifters" policies. I'm not saying the ebay oil sellers are legit or not -- only that Mobil1 should be aware that they exist.
But if Mobil is indifferent about its distribution and pricing, let's have the mbworld.org forum setup a purchasing channel where we can all buy Mobil1 at wholesale prices.

The problem with Mobile 1 is not a blowby issue in that it does so more than any other oil. From my experience and yours may vary, with forced induction engines, I've narrowed it down to, when the Mobile 1 oil gets into the combustion chamber, it causes detonation whereas some other synthetics have a much greater resistance to the detonation. If you have an engine with worn rings or blowby problems, Valvoline synthetic is a great choice because it will not detonate like Mobile 1. I'm sure there are other oils that do not have such a low "octane" rating but for a healthy engine Mobile 1 is great. As the engine ages, yes, I agree that Mobile 1 is not the best choice for a forced induction engine.

None of these scenarios pass the stink check.
Risk manager me pins this oil on being either counterfeit, stolen, or in some other way degraded and simply not worth the potential $50 benefit every 6 mos.
would you put this in an aircraft engine?
would be fun to see what Blackstone says about $5 Mobil one.

All of my MB’s here are non turbo .. non supercharged . My phone call to Mobil 1 was NOT to a friend but simply asked to talk to someone about counterfeit or stolen product. They told what to look for on the label and were not aware of any stolen product with any affiliation to Walmart. I also told them about the tons of oil on ebay for sale.
I hope the average Forum reader notices all the accusing and name calling with total GUESSWORK with zero research about the product ??
The funniest part for me is Eric one of the biggest experts and finger pointers just a few years did not even know how to pick out the proper built OIL FILTER ?? Or how to or when to CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID? But Eric definitely knows how to GUESS and finger point or better yet when he can’t answer a question just belittle the person who ask the question.
A new person came on the forum and ask which transmission fluid to use Red or Blue .. Eric just belittle him .. why because he did not know about A89 that simple ??
ERIC’s choice of oil filter. Just keep this in mind when the guy advises you on OIL PRODUCTS 😂 😂 😂

Mobil 1 starts out in many cars.
Bentley · Cadillac · Chevrolet · Corvette · Mercedes-AMG · Nissan · Porsche leave the factory with Mobile 1 oil. Also Nascar endorsed and this is 50 yrs for Mobil 1
But you read it here by the “experts” like Baltistyle that it causes “ Blow by” with his deep knowledge of research and vast high performance car experiences. No real lab analysis but his strong opinions and NAME calling! So please don’t forget when your manufacture recommends Mobil 1 you have been warned by Baltistyle !!! The MB forum reining expert !!!! 😂 😂 😂

Example from a Transmission fluid question;
After much bantering and talking down to the OP the question finally arises about the friction option A89.
Should have been the first and only answer BUT NO
PROFESSOR ERIC has to be the expert with very little real world experience possibly only owning 1 X-164 chassis 😂 😂 😂 😂
Don’t forget your real world experience and a statement you should read to yourself everyday “The easiest person to lie to is yourself”!

Great idea on getting oil analysis … In fact it sure would be nice before The experts blame Mobil 1 for there -blow by -problems that they would include proven analysis. Was the engine overfilled? How many have pulled their engine oil by vacuum and make sure you are starting with a complete empty pan? Was the oil thinned out by fuel? Or just simply fixed by changing brands?

Remember, folks: Demons eat negative energy. I'd say they're enjoying a tasty meal in Bill's mind, and if you get emotionally involved, they'll come for you too. Peace be with you.

LOL! Look at those seller's other items...Almost all of their items use the stock photos from a legit retailer, it looks like they are running a Shoplifter's Depot!
Is Mobil1 Euro, 5-quart bottle, for $29 at Walmart really too expensive?
Is it really worth supporting a criminal enterprise to save $9 on an oil change??
I'm sure this one way the gift card-phone scammers are monetizing what they steal from old folks and people who don't know any better.

ebay oil sales
The Ebay seller just had some conversation with me on my last order… she is just about sold out and sold 100 cases of 3 per to a California buyer. So keep the ridiculous guessing, finger pointing and of course name calling going 😂 😂 😂!!!

More oil fights!
Well since the Righteous duo Wichsers Professor Eric and Mr tiny ***** Baltistyle are done lecturing about the Scum and people looking to find there inner PEACE! I will finally release the Walmart issue of the Mobil 1 oil.
I will say it was rather amusing watching the cyber bullies work their “magic” with their brilliant deductions of righteousness, honor and hatred of Ebay and bargain hunting . I have already alerted Walmart and will be giving all of my cases back to them 😂 😂 😂.
Thr ebay seller bought a few jugs for themselves and instead of 1 being dropped shipped… they dropped off 3… they made the buy over and over. Walmart kept dropping off the oil! Just like the customer below witnessed!! Can’t wait to read what Mr Curry has to say !!!!

Versia… Looks like somebody’s getting super defensive, even though they have absolutely zero facts, but they’ve called their friend who works somewhere differently than where the oil is being sold. I really like those who come to the defense of other thieves and scum bags. This person also doesn’t understand that they inferred they themselves were the scum bag, and then name called to prove such..
My choice to not use mobile one is because I have tremendous blow by with mobile one and have with multiple high power cars. If you drove your car with some *****, you’d probably understand different oil choices as well. And being that you’re very intelligent and likely the smartest person in the world, you know that the stickers on the cars don’t really have much to do with lab testing, but marketing. No need to argue with you anymore as you have all of the answers, are always right, and get great deals on stolen oil after checking with the main guy who digs for oil with mobile one next time I randomly defend some eBay shyster, please come here, and yell at me as well. I will be happy to hear your better alternatives versus dig my head in the sand like an animal.
anyone else that’s irrelevant that you can call to prove a point that doesn’t have any meaning?
