I'm always eager to learn about someone else's experiences, whether OEM or non-OEM parts are involved. But let's be real -- MB doesn't manufacture tires, petrol-based fluids, batteries, cables, connectors, airbags, wipers, spark plugs, semiconductors, or a long list of other content that goes into a typical MB. My G550 sticker states that 60% of the vehicle's content is made in Germany or Austria, and much of that is subcontracted to other manufacturers such as Bosch and ZF. Who knows where the other 40% comes from -- most likely the lowest bidder in a far away time zone. So I agree -- the importance of "genuine MB OEM parts" is greatly exaggerated because it's more likely than not that the part is sourced from an outside supplier. I regard tires as one of the most critical components on a car, but I replaced the MB OE Pirelli's with non-OE Yokohama's because they are better suited to my needs.
But I do find it amusing that so many owners are so willing to slap on radical modifications, which to me are engine tunes, suspension lifts, over-sized wheels and tires, noisy exhausts and sound systems, and all that pricey Brabus stuff. Somehow I manage to enjoy my vehicle as it was assembled in Graz, and without paying for overpriced genuine MB parts.

Clearing out inventory doesn't make sense. Oil has a very long shelf life and Walmart is still selling both the singles and the 3-packs.
Just for fun, I ordered both a couple of single jugs and, separately, a 3-pack. I'll be impressed if three 3-packs show up.

I did not misread. I read what was posted and I also went to the Walmart website and it still had it listed but out of stock. It's not on there anymore but this is.
Another great deal I missed.

LOL- Spend a lot to save a little...that's a joke usually told about wives.
I hope someone has called the oil drillers to let them know to keep pumping, or at least bought an oil futures contract; this could be huge!
...Too bad I can't get in on this; if they ever sell Rotella T6 at this bargain price, I'm down for it!

The problem with Mobile 1 is not a blowby issue in that it does so more than any other oil. From my experience and yours may vary, with forced induction engines, I've narrowed it down to, when the Mobile 1 oil gets into the combustion chamber, it causes detonation whereas some other synthetics have a much greater resistance to the detonation. If you have an engine with worn rings or blowby problems, Valvoline synthetic is a great choice because it will not detonate like Mobile 1. I'm sure there are other oils that do not have such a low "octane" rating but for a healthy engine Mobile 1 is great. As the engine ages, yes, I agree that Mobile 1 is not the best choice for a forced induction engine.

@Wolfman
I’m guessing that this is all stolen. My local Walmart advertises this oil for very inexpensive, but it’s never on the shelf and their inventory is always wrong likely due to thieves like these.. please don’t support the criminals. The oil is cheap enough when you buy it from a legitimate source.. do you really think cungo was an oil aficionado and knew when to buy from Wally? Thieving *******s ruin everything and their customers are the scum that keep them stealing. Don’t be a thieving *******’s, ******* customer.
and since this website wants to censor me because we are all 12 years old, I’m calling people the thing that’s right between your butt cheeks

This is the post that started all the trouble. Do people like @Baltistyle really expect to make post like this with all the name calling and rants without any rebuttal???
I have no trouble sticking with keeping post with Q&A only. thanks Bill
