I removed 36 posts by two members who hijacked this thread while 'arguing', there appears to be little thought they choked any discussion by other members. Both principal participants need to take a break for the weekend, their accounts will be restricted until Monday. Thank you.

Apparently tire pressure is a very touchy subject.

Here's a good link regarding setting your vehicle at the optimal tire pressure, which should be based on your particular driving conditions as stated on the gas filler door. For the GL550 under normal driving conditions (maintained speeds under 100 mph, not pulling a trailer, the PSI should be set at or near 32. According to the owner's manual, the pressures stated on the sticker on the B-pillar are maximum pressures based on maximum capacity weight while pulling a maximum weight trailer with maintained speeds over 100 mph....the maximum extremes.
