All Weather Mats for 2013 GL450
Ordered the all weather mats for the x164 for my x166. Overall I was surprised at how well it fit given some who said that the passenger side was a little short on the x166. You can see the stock mats underneath the all weather mats as a point of comparison. On the driver's side, there is no little flap that covers the top left (the mat is one big piece). It also doesn't quite reach all the way down by the seat as you can see in driver side 2 (the second blurry picture). The passenger side is also a little short at the bottom (picture 3), not the top. if the driver and passenger seats are moved forward, it's not an issue though if you're an average size, it will still be exposed. The second row mats are perfectly fine IMO. As someone noted, the mats are not TOO expensive (though I wouldn't quite say they're inexpensive) and should do the job until the x166 are released or in stock (someone said if history serves, that may be in the summer!?).
Thought this would be helpful for people looking for options - I couldn't find any pictures. This was better than I expected.
I don't have anything yet for the 3rd row. I may just get a cheap set for the time being. Would love to hear what others have bought.

I have the weathertech set on order for my 2013 GL350, it should arrive Saturday. Will post some pictures.
For third row, I am going to use an old set of winter mats until something better becomes available.

I had the same all weather mats for my 08 gl320 and they were as good as usless in winter, they work well for dirt but when it comes to snow its better to go with winter mats.

interesting. thanks for sharing your experience. what's the primary difference between all-season and winter? solely material (soaks up more of the snow/water)? why doesn't the all weather work well for snow? thanks!

Weathertech offers one of the best winter mats out right now, not cheap but cheaper than what MB will charge, I know MB has delays so far.

Just making sure that everyone realizes this is the Weathertech from Canada site. Just make sure you use this when in the USA.

Does anyone know..... if you order the black interior on your vehicle, is the carpet gray or black? I ordered the black interior and would like to have the mats waiting here when I finally get the car. Weathertech pre-formed mats are offered in either gray of black.

Weathertech information

The front liners connect solidly with the factory mat holders.
The rear liner is a single piece and does not have the same connecting mechanism as the front liners. There are molded recesses to cover the factory pin.
Here are some photos with the liner fresh out of the box in 30 degree temperatures. I assume a warm day will take out some of the edge ripples

Thanks for the pictures. Is it a slippery plastic or is it rubbery?

A review I read said that your foot could slip when it's wet - it doesn't sound like you'd agree with that? Though I guess anything that's not fabric would be slippery. I think I may get that the second row set and move the all weather ones to the third row for now. Can't beat that protection.

A new leather soled shoe could be a different story of course.
Good luck.

Not sure if others said anything but when I mentioned the passenger side and 3rd row issues ('12 vs. '13), I was referring to the WeatherTech DigitalFit mats, not the AWM.
The AWMs don't look that bad but I have an order for the new '13 DigitalFits on their way so can't wait!

i ended up getting the weathertech one piece that goes across the entire second row. it does do the best job of trapping any spills, dirt, melted snow, etc. looks like it's the same one that mercedes sells except the sticker says weather tech.
