Pappi - three things.
1) you missed a important option especially with newborns - add "Rear Sunshades" - note they cannot be added post-factory.
2) I would also recommend adding Easy-Entry feature for 2nd row seats
3) is there a reason you choose not to add 3rd zone climate control ?

What's the easy entry feature?
I would probably get the 3rd zone especially in LA.

I also ordered the power easy entry option, but mostly just for resale value. When you have two kids and therefore two car seats, the second row rarely ever gets folded down as you would need to remove the carseats, which is a pain.
My kids are 3 years and 6 months, and it's likely I'll be trading/selling this car before they're completely out of child restraints. I think, though, for only $400, power easy entry adds great value to the car.

A. I lived in the Southwest or Southeast.
B. My kids were old enough to know the difference between 78 and 58 degrees.
My 09 has been all over the eastern part of the US and spent time in South Florida. My kids have never complained about the temp and I have a black GL. We ask them all the time if they are comfortable.
I rented an Escalade with 3rd zone climate last summer in San Diego. All my kids did was complain that it was either too hot, too cold, or too much air blowing on them. If your kids aren't old enough to manage the thermostat dial themselves, you are giving them one more thing to complain and fight with each other about. I think the GL is insulated far better than any other SUV in its class and it moves A LOT of air through the cabin.

2. Didn't really care about Easy-Entry 2nd row because I tried both and for the next three years, at least, I will have three car seats across the second row so will never be opening them to access third row and this will always have to be done from trunk. By the time I graduate from three car seats I will most likely buy something else at that time.
3. Didn't really care about 3 zone climate control because I will rarely ever have someone in third row and second row I will want the same as front setting.

I got them to give me USAA discount which equated to ~$4600 off plus got them to throw in 3 years of full maintenance as well as window tinting. Felt like that we a pretty good deal as they said they are only giving most people $1000-2000 off at most and that is usually on in stock inventory.

Coming from CLS63 what I will miss most is the Sport + transmission. I love how fast it shifts as well as the aggressive downshift blips of throttle.
Do the GLs with Adaptive Damping suspensions have a Sport/Comfort setting?
What about a Sport/Comfort Transmission setting?

All well and good papi... but there is a little confusion over some issues that may impact the comfort and safety of your children:
1. Rear sunshades - your dealer salesperson was feeding you hogwash - rear sunshades don't " add another month or so to production" - what a crock.
If you're concerned about infant safety - yes, you further reduce IR and UV by adding a layer of 3M Crystalline Tint - but of course they didn't mention that either - they are going to use the cheapie stuff - ADD to reduce visible light to let your infants chill and sleep you Add REAR SUNSHADES - get with whats important on the infant program boss.
2) Without Easy Entry 2nd row - all three 2nd row headrests are removable - so that can be a good thing not to give up for twins.
3) Actually, you should be concerned about 3rd zone climate control because in large part it makes heating and cooling in the rear zone more effective but also more diffuse - provides more vents, but those vents have directional as well as flow control - all good things to heat/cool cabin and control with less direct air on infants - and can be preset to a auto temperature same/or different than front zone - with so much "fun guy stuff" not having 3rd zone climate control is really not a sound choice buddy...
I am not trying to be harsh - but it's twins buddy - and twins are a lot more to handle than just 1+1.

The first thing I will doing is Renntech which bumps HP to 530 and TQ to 606 so that should wake it up considerably. I have Renntech on my CLS63 and it around 670HP with over 540hp to the wheels on the dyno.

It was 542.4HP on a Mustang Dyno which are usually much lower than Dynojets and others and usually the truest. Renntech reps 669HP and 734TQ here http://www.renntechmercedes.com/www/node/566 and I found this to be very accurate. They said adjustment factor was close to 20% loss from crank.

FYI I will pay MSRP minus 3% and then $3000 fleet discount. I feel pretty good about that considering 2 other dealers wouldn't budge from sticker price. This is for an ordered car.

Some employers offer a discount on MB vehicles through this Fleet program. The discount is $3,000 on 2013 GL's.
There is also a USAA discount for people who are members of USAA (former military and their families).
