My salesman (and yours can too) ran an order inquiry with Netstar - Mercedes-Benz, USA, LLC online. The VII tab has the data. On the VII screen there is an Events field. The Netstar report run 8/28/13 for my new ride shows the first events since 7/31/13:

B4A 08/27/2013 PRODUCTION STARTED [YEAH BABY!]

So, no ETA, Ship Date, Vessel [Dealer says train from AL to Phoenix, then truck to Tucson]
Dealer says about 12 days (calendar), but it is a holiday weekend, and this might make a difference.

$2900 AMG package in Canada for a whole bunch of stuff that would cost you the same as a 2012 Prius to ask MB to put on after delivery. Mind Boggling why MB has no AMG pack for the 350 in the U.S, the sales would go up which mean more $$$ in their pockets and

AMG GT R and GLS 450
I picked up our palladium silver/black GL 350 that we ordered this weekend. It is a very nice vehicle and a significant upgrade from our 09 GL 320. Thanks to everyone for their help answering questions.
