No collision prevention assist icon

Hi I have a 2014 GL 350 and since getting it this Saturday I noticed I only see the Blue P icon pop up occasionally on top of multifunction screen in dash, I thought I should see the collision prevention assist icon there instead?? I have the blindspot and lane tracking assist also. Any help appreciated? Do I need to turn CPA "on"??

Over a certain speed threshold the [P] should be replaced by the collision assist icon. They do not both appear at once.

Unhappy No attention assist icon or lane track icon seen

Did Mercedes change this for 2014 - I have driven 2013 ML loaner and it always showed the collision prevention assist icon and attention assist / lane tracking icon in the multifunction display.
I have played with the steering wheel menu and made sure al systems including radar is active.

Am I missing something here? Hope some one can help?

Hi, I have a 2014 as well and mine does not have the icon either. I'm not sure where it is. I have all the packages you described as well. I will say that if I've been getting close to someone and not put on the brake fast enough, that a red triangle lights up and the car beeps to warn me. Maybe that's the replacement?

Mine is a 2013 and the collision prevention icon stuff is always there after the P disappears! That being said it always has a ! with it which give you the "impression" that something is wrong......perhaps for 14 they decided that the thing was confusing and to just let the system work in the background........just guessing.

No icons

I actually looked at online dealer picture posts of interiors on 2014 GL vs 2013 GLs and interestingly I see none of these icons in the 14's. I think you guys are right that they decided to clean things up and let these systems run in the background without cluttering the display.

If I call my SA I feel they will have no real answer for me, I dont think they even know about this... In the end i wanted some reassurance that my vehicle didn't have a problem

Personally I think that is great. There is too much in the display IMHO and I actually disabled the collision exclamation icon because its distracting and annoying.

I don't mind the coffee cup and lane change because they are lower but it would be nice if they weren't there either.

I agree, the ! makes it seem like something is wrong, and I hate people asking me what the coffee cup means. It should just light up when it detects something. Good decision to change this IMO
