How to lower Navigation voice volume

Does anyone know how and if you can lower the navigation voice volume? I find it very annoying on long trips where the radio is set to low volume and people are sleeping but the navigation volume overrides the pre set radio volume and is quite loud

Yes, when the lady is talking the volume buttons control the volume of her voice. If she isn't talking you can force her to talk by hitting the 'repeat' button. Also, hitting the mute button when she's talking silences her for the remainder of the trip or until you hit 'repeat' to get her talking again.

In addition to those points does anyone know how to turn her off permanently so she doesn't come back when you restart?

Cheers

I don't think that is possible.

Agree, I suppose there's a super low volume setting you could use that you almost can't hear, but no way to keep it muted all the time.

Just get a Garmin!!!!

I get real frustrated with the whole command system. Still can't figure out how to locate things along my route. You can select your current location, a new city if you know it, or at your destination. What about along my route!!!!
