camera not working - can anyone help?
I just noticed that the camera is not working. I have the 360 camera. No backup, 360 or any camera view. I made sure activate when in R is checked. I even did the Open Camera command. I sat in the cold to read the online info and didn't see anything that would help me (annoying that I can't have car on and read it).
Is there something simple I'm missing? Anyone else with this problem?

Ok, I just tried again and now it works. I even turned the car off and on before and it wouldn't work.
A couple of weeks ago my daughter said the speaker wouldn't work - no sound. I assumed it was operator error although my daughter (co pilot) knows the car better than anyone.
Now I'm wondering if there's a problem.
Do I need to have these things repeat to work with the dealer or will they have system data to work from presuming there is a problem?

There is a known bug in the 360 camera, where every once in a while when you try to trigger it, you just get a black screen. Happened to me a couple times on my 2014, maybe once every couple months. Take it to dealer, they can upgrade the camera software.

Same thing happened to me. Reverse or re-starting didn’t work. Even the reverse camera was sticking out without going in. I left the truck for few hours and it started working again after.

Same here. I had my software upgraded a few months ago and quite a few of the issues vanished such as it taking way to long to activate the camera after just starting out. However, this exact problem you described happened a couple of weeks ago. Of course, we were on a trip and the back was so full the rear window was blocked with luggage. Murphy's Law. And, just like you guys, it worked the next day and has not failed since. It was extremely cold when it happened, but that might simply be a coincidence.

Mine just stopped working...
Just getting a black screen, no guide lines or anything, both rear cam mode or 360 mode... The rear camera cover does open as usual when it engages. From this thread looks like best thing to do now is to wait a day to see if he gremlins would go away?

I've had this same issue a few times and it just corrects itself, may try that fuse mentioned in the previous post if it happens again.
I checked the code when I had this issue with Xentry and the code it provided was in module N148 - 360 Camera, Code U014786: Communication with the control unit "Head unit" has a malfunction. There is an incorrect signal.
Based on my research and as mentioned before, the software needs to be updated to resolve this.

Try resetting your MB gear box it worked for me!
My backup camera stopped working. The camera stayed down on the trunk of my gl450. Reset my gear box and it started working again!! Look up MB gear box reset on YouTube. takes 10 min and didn’t have to do much!
PS. The gl450 is a money pit! But I love her
