19" or 20" in terms of <gas mileage><ride comfort><noise>

I'm struggling between 19" and 20". It is something no more than size difference to me, but I'm feeling that it might also has something to do with <gas mileage><ride comfort> and <noise>... Right?
Thanks.

I know ride comfort is affected, and road noise is slightly pronounced. But I've noticed a negligible difference of about 5%.

I like the look of the 20 far better than the 19 though.

My advice is to get the smallest wheel size you can visually tolerate. The ride will be improved, the options for replacing tires will be better, etc.

I owned a 2007 for over 6 years with the 19 inch and now have a 350 with 20 inch. The 20 inch rims are beautiful and the ride, mileage, and handling with the larger rims in my mind is equal to the 19 inch rims. It makes long distances on the highway a smoothe and pleasant experience.

Not meaning to butt up against "old school" - frankly the 20's ride great - and fill the wheel well much better visually..

My GL rides on 20" and at 28K miles I'm getting ready to put on replacement tires at $249 each which is cheap compared to the run-flats on my other car. Think tire technology keeps progressing such that there is negligible difference in ride quality and the 20" look so much better it was my first check mark on the order form.

I have the 19" wheel myself because I liked the look of that wheel vs. the 20". I will say that the options for the 19" are not great. I've struggled to find some good tires for it. I feel like there are more options for the 20". As far as ride, I have no clue the difference.

i talked to tire rack and they said that those tires on the GL350 are not common size and the 19in had more options for tires. Couldnt get the continentals or michelins unless you get summer tires......so i ordered the 19's on my new GL
