Did anybody else have their 360 camera software updated and is there any improvement.. Mine is useless as well at night.

 

Check the other few posts below. Yes - mine works a ton better after latest update and calibration!

 

Mine goes in next Wednesday for the fix.

Just got the update done, and it helped quite a bit at dark.

 

I just had the update done on my GL63, and the software lost the vehicle color for the image on the 360-degree view. Has that happened to the others who have had this update done? The image is now a solid black, as if it is a placemarker for the vehicle color from the VIN number. My car is still at the dealer who has contacted Mercedes Germany for a fix. I cannot report on whether it has improved the night camera image.

 

I brought it in and they just called telling me that my GL already had the update. So, they say they can do no more. I sent them everything that you all posted, so I guess they know what they are doing. Or, maybe not. Hopefully, at the mid-cycle refresh these issues will not be with us.

 

Steve, I can, at least, confirm that the update is a late December 2014 update. My car was purchased in early December, and it did not have the update.

 

This is really getting to be disappointing. I will go at them again tomorrow when I go back to get the GL.

 

Just got mine updated last week and yes it helped quite a bit at night. You can also adjust the brightness after the new calibration. I went to Helms Bros in Flushing, NY and the service advisor Jack knew about the problem and had it fixed the same day.

 

Did your update retain the vehicle color for the image of the 360-degree view?

 

yes mine did.

 

Would you mind asking your service person at Helms Brothers if there is a special setting for that? During installation of the update or in the Star Diagnosis calibration?

 

Yeah I got the update it is a general comand update as well. Seems a bit snappier as well. Just did night parking, and quite a bit better.

 

I just got the command update too and it has significantly improved the rear camera.

The other update that has been referenced here previously was not applicable to my vehicle.

 

Just wondering if you or anyone else happens to know what software version it went to after update. Xentry is required to check this and the module is the SVS166 (N148). Cheers Ben
