Just so you know - overall, nationwide - GL450's are in very/very tight supply - and those GL450's locked down in production thru end-June - a majority are pre-sold.
Sure - dealer's can be touchy - but at the same time manuvering room gets tight when the unit #'s get tight.

You didn't mention where you are located but there are plenty of 2015 GL450's in the Reading/Lancaster/West Chester PA area, 21 to be exact. All three location are easy to deal with. West Chester is near Philly and has a huge inventory.

They are never going to sell you a GL with a story like that. Even your name, sh1p..... Is a red flag. The dealerships are getting fined for selling to exporters and your profile/story matches that of a front man for an exporter.

The words humble, MB dealer, and sales person cannot possibly be used in a same sentence. Why? Because they have to make money! They may appear to be your best friend but you should know better. My advice: be cordial but firm, don't spill your beans, never let the salesman control your emotions and most importantly, be ready to walk away at any moment. I don't like to lose and I don't have $$$ flowing out of my pocket.
If the dealers don't have much competition, you are pretty much at their mercy. You have to be willing drive a little or out of state to score a deal. If you look hard enough, you will find what you are looking for because there's always someone who'll be happy your $$$.
