Hi MB,
We are shopping around for a new GL since the midcycle refresh is not until next year and we cannot afford to wait long enough.
Wondering if anyone can provide feedback on an offer we received?
It's a 2015 GL350, 3000km, it was the "demo" car and is about 3 months old.
+premium package (soft close doors, keyless go, etc)
+AMG sport package
$83,000+ tax CAD, roughly 3000km.
Was hoping someone could provide their insight on this?

A demo with 3,000km (roughly just under 2,000 miles) is definitely a used vehicle where I come from. I understand that diesels are hard to come by in Canada (GLs in general) and prices are steeper up there but I'd make them come down in price by at least 20%; that's just how I'd roll.
Btw, demos are usually driven pretty hard.

When demo cars are started up for a prospective buyer there is no warm-up time they are encouraged to drive it like they would normally drive it and often that is also testing the acceleration likely on a cold engine.

Sorry, by demo they meant it was the GM's car.
But I understand what you guys mean, used is used.. I will spec the car out on the canadian website and try to negotiate for 15 to 20% off the MSRP

I bought a '09 GL450 with 500 miles on it; bought it as "brand new". The dealership said that it was the GM's car. It turned out to be a mechanical nightmare. I got rid of it after just a year because I was tired of spending my days off at the stealership. I second that.... GM's car=demo.

Update: I was now quoted for a brand new, same spec as above car, price $81,500 (MSRP is 85,500 CAD).
total sale price would be:
$81,500 (after a $4,000 discount)
$15 for tire tax 5 tires
$100 for federal air conditioning levy
$2345 for freight + PDI GL Class
Total sale price before tax: $83,960.00 CAD
All prices CAD

Why not wait for the refresh? that being said the incentives will be slim pickings than.

I would wait for the refresh however we are needing an extra vehicle within the next few weeks unfortunately.
We made the purchase, final sale price was $79,500 CAD (roughly $61,115 USD at today's exchange rate).
