How to remove rear seat entertainment screen unit?

I have a 2013 gl550 with the factory rear entertainment system. Someone accidentally hit the passenger side screen and the screen cracked. I found a replacement part no A2219005504 and ordered it. I am however having a hard time figuring out how to remove the cracked unit from the seat. I found two screws in the back and I took them out, but cannot figure out how it comes out. Does anyone have an idea on where I need to press on the cover to get it off?

so just to elaborate here is a bit more about the issue:

Its the one that looks like http://assets.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/Digit...V-075-MCFO.jpg

I put the headrest all the way up and from the front seat I noticed two screws. I undid those but I cannot figure out how to unhook the screen. Is there a tab I have to push and them pull it up a certain way? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

so this is the guide I found, the problem i am having is how do I unclip the bezel? I have tried using a prying tool to go around the edges but I cant seem to get the bezel off. Do I need to buy that part they are referencing, the extraction hook? How would I use that tool to remove it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is what I found via a Google search. They're older but may still apply....

none of those show how to remove the bezel from a 2013 GL550. I did order the tools but I have no idea how that will open that.

So an update, I tried to use different pry tools but they didnt work. I am thinking it may be something simple but I am still not seeing it. If anyone has any suggestions on how to unclip the bezel I would greatly appreciate it.

2015 GL 350
I have the same problem as one of my children broke the drivers rear screen on my 2015 gl 350. If either of you were finally able to replace it on your own, any help would be appreciated. I need to find the replacement part first before I tackle the install so if you have any recommendations on where you purchased yours, that would help as well Thanks in advance.

Hey so I ended up taking it to the dealer, they charged $75 to install the headrest I supplied to them. I have an extra one, I bought it for $150 plus shipping. Its used but looks good, I can sell it to you if you like at that same price. Let me know.

Well that's convenient. Is it an OEM replacement or does it have a part number and is it black by chance? As long as it's what I need, I'll take it for sure.

I'm free to take the extra one off your hands @jattsingh if it's the right fit

I have the same problem. My child kicked the monitor. Anyone know where I can buy the replacement? My car is a lease, so I need the same part. I have a 2017 GLS 450

Just replaced mine. The rear cover comes off easily if you put a thin flat screw driver on the top and push down.

Also, the rear monitor also is interchangeable with a S600/S63. Bought one off of ebay for $200. Took 15 mins to install.

Can you send a link to what you purchased?

Did anyone manage to remove the head unit and replace, how easy/hard was it and did it need recoding or was it just a straight swap?

Also anyone replace the rear dvd player?

Ford Focus 1.6(euro one
Bit of an old thread, but not the first time I’ve needed it. I managed today.
The secret is basically in that diagram where the 2 and arrows are, press your fingers into the seat a bit to get below the unit and grip the cover then PULL. Once the bottom is loose it’s easy to pry a bit more around it with a pry tool or screwdriver. Once removed it’s just 3 bolts.

I was actually hoping to remove the screens and possibly dvd played completely and just use some tablet mounts. It seems the part that holds the screens isn’t very “optional” without reupholstering the seats or cutting it or something, which is a bit of a problem for fitting most tablet brackets.
