Power Tailgate issue
We have a 2016 GL550. Our garage is a little shorter than the max tailgate height and the tailgate will not save the tailgate height limiter. I have pressed and held the close button and it does nothing. Is this an issue for anyone else?

Are you saying nothing happens when you press and hold the button on the tailgate, or does it eventually beep to indicate it theoretically stored the position?

I haven't had any issues with mine.

It does nothing when I press and hold the button.

Is the press and hold at the time you're stopping the lift gate before full open, or after it has stopped (like you would press it to close the gate)?

I have tried everything, pressing and holding while it opens, waiting for it to open then move it and press an hold. It doesn't work.

I believe you have to press stop at desired height, release button, and then depress button again and hold.

Should be an audible tone to alert position saved.

It's not functioning correctly. There's no trick to how it works, all you do is move the tailgate to the height you want, then hold the button until it beeps. Sounds like you'll need to get it looked at.

Did you try to save a position at different heights? I think I remember mine not saving if the position was close to fully open.

My suspicion - before she had opportunity to set opening tailgate height correctly -at some bought the rear hatch was grabbed/put-down, or grabbed/way-up - which in turn kicked a safety - I "think" the rear hatch will need to be-erased aand then coding willl take in.
