2014 GL450 Driver seat wear MBTex

I bought my GL450 new in 2014 and it has now done 35k miles, 98% of the miles on my 60 miles a day commute.

Within the first 6 months I noticed some unexpected wear on the driver seat and it was replaced under warranty. Within another six months the replacement showed similar wear with the grey color coming through. Dealer said it was scuffed and I did not have time to argue, so left it. The car is now two years old and the grey is almost completely gone on the seat on the driver door side. I wear suit pants every day.

I contacted MBUSA and they said it is normal wear. I don't believe it. I have owned numerous Mercedes Benz cars and SUV's over the past 33 years and have never had this problem before.

Does anyone else have similar problems, or does my *** not fit a GL450 seat.

Thanks

Drivers Seat wear.

I have a 2015 ML 350 and just the process of getting in the car you have to drag yourself across the left side of the drivers seat. I know for sure it is causing excessive wear. I think the seat boster is made to high. The only option is to lower the sitting height of the seat or the car. I am looking into lower my with H and R springs which will reduce the ride height 1.5 inches.

You can set the seat to "low" as one of the seat memory positions

I have the same year, black interior. Would you mind posting a picture? My seats look good, but I'd like to know what I should be watching out for. Also I trained myself to use the running boards to get in. Now that I'm used to it I don't even think twice about it, and I don't have to slide across the seat to get in.
