Look great...I saw rivian had that on their trucks...very cool.
I am thinking of put on my 2010 gl550. Time for new sets of tires, so wondering for mud tires.
Just concerned a bit about road noise.
I'd upgraded on my land cruiser 80series...Look great.

Snow performance is amazing still. I had same tires on my truck before and they saved me multiple times.

It’s subtle but it looks much better to me, what can I say. Hopefully others will post up some pics of some more options in the future. Sorry I didn’t get before pics.....you all have one, you know what they look like.
i really wish we could get a more aggressive tread in a 21”....I love these wheels, don’t love our tire options.

I know this is an old post, do you mind sharing link/spec of your spacer?

Thanks in advance.

I have a set of 275/55/20 K02’s I put on this spring. I initially installed them with 30mm spacers, but had rubbing. I ended up with 25mm spacers in the rear and 15mm in the front. In all of the attached pictures my suspension was raised.

Do you mind sharing link or Maker/PartNumber of these spaces?

Thanks in advance.

I bought H&R spacers. I could've gotten some generic ones off ebay, but these are the best you can buy. Here's all that fit:

Did you have to replace the lug bolts for longer ones? Do you mind sharing specs/link to those?

I had to buy separate longer wheel bolts for the 15mm spacers. The 25mm came with the wheel bolts to mount it to the hubs.

bumping an old thread. Are spacers required to use 275/55/20? I already bought 275/55/20 Pathfinders overall diameter is identical to KO2.

You shouldn’t need them. I ran them more for appearance.

I’ve heard that on every Jeep I’ve owned.

Im sure plenty of idiots have tried to put monster tires on their non-lifted rigs only for said owners to come back complaining about strange rubbing noises at full lock

If you're talking to me, there's no lift. I just have the air suspension set to the higher setting in the photos.
If you still have air suspension, you could swap out the linkage. They sell kits on ebay for lowering GL(S)'s, you would just need to do the opposite. Someone on this forum has done it. Do a search and you'll find it. Here's a description of what they do to lower them straight from the ebay description.
From the factory, the Mercedes Benz GLS comes equipped with an air ride suspension. This system utilizes four sensors (one at each corner) to control the ride height of the vehicle. This is accomplished by the use of a small linkage which connects the sensor to the suspension. As the car is raised or lowered, the linkage moves the sensor up or down sending a signal to the computer telling it how high the car is. By replacing the fixed linkage with one of adjustable design, such as ours, you can change the output of the sensor making the computer believe that the car is higher than it actually is. The computer will then respond by lowering the vehicle. The simplicity of our setup is that it maintains all the functionality of the factory system. The ride height button works exactly the same as it did before swapping the links.

No doubt, but I think it's usually a combination of them being clueless and just reading what the computer tells them. TireRack and the guy at the tire shop that installed them acted like I was nuts because the speed rating was lower on the K02's (like I drive fast in this pig) and that the ride would suffer because of the higher load rating (with the increased sidewall height, they don't).

Could be a corporate thing. Before I got the Ridge Grapplers on my G-class I went to Costco to see if they could fit them. The tech said he knew they would fit (especially with the lift I put on) but it was their corporate policy not to fit tires more than one size up from stock. Even though he did the physical measurements, he was prohibited from doing the work.

The tech at Town Fair Tire on the other hand did the physical measurements. He couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't rub at full articulation but he tested the tires at full lock and knew that they wouldn't rub (which was accurate)

Do you mind sending ebay link for the one you used? TIA.

G'day BlownV8 - I'm following up on a comment you made.

"I believe the ET is 50 for a 10" wheel. Quick cheat, go to Tirerack.com and see what ET they selling for your GL and do a search online for a better deal/selection of wheels and tires. 285 would fit without issues. 305/40/22 fits without issues too"

I'm having difficulty getting accurate information regarding changing over my wheel set-up. I've got a 2015 GL350 (Australian Spec.) AMG package - so it's got the bigger brakes but not the 'really' big
calibers. Currently it's got 21" wheels with the 295/40ZR-21's.

I know I can squeeze 275/55R20's in there.

However, I'm after the tallest sidewall I can get. For sand driving (airing down in hot sand)

My question is: Can I go with 19x9.5" rims or do I have to stick with 20x9.5". If I go 19" rims I get a slightly taller sidewall. What I'm trying to find out is, what will fit over the caliper and then the tallest tyre that will fit in the Wheel well.

I don't suppose there are any spring spacers made for X166 air springs, are there?

Thanks for the reply, I will be changing to either 19" or 20" rims. Depending on whether the 19"s will fit over the brake calipers. If not, then I will go 20" and big tyres. I may need to install a ride height modification to give some more room. Ideally 33's. But it's looking more likely that I'll have to go 275/55R20's initially.

Tallest sidewall possible to air-down for soft hot sand work.

Anyone got an answer to my question regarding 19's fitting over the caliper on the front?

I don't know about how the 19" wheels will fit, but mine came from the factory with 19s. The availability of tires sucks. So be sure to check this out also.
