Hi there,

First time poster yet long time lurker. My wife and I are shopping for pre-owned GL450s and one of the "must haves" for me is the lighting package with active curve illumination. I went to see two cars today in New Jersey and neither had the package. Is there an easy visual way to tell from photographs if they have the xenon or halogen projectors?

I was hoping there was an easy identifier (some have a vertical/diagonal line that splits the high/low beams), but there may not be one.

 

Well look for the headlight housing. I believe the day time running light is different pattern if you have the lighting packing.

 

These are the headlights of my 2013 GL450 with the lighting package. The halogen ones have a diagonal line separating the high beams part from the low beams.

It has active parking assist but it’s lacking the 360 camera. And odd, that’s not my car on the link anymore. Mine is iridium silver with the gray/black leather interior (special order #258).
