Replace headlight bulb with H7 Led bulb
Has anyone changed halogen bulb with led h7 for headlights. Reason is the halogen bulbs let's face it suck. I tried to get my hand in but not much room to work in there. Is there an easier way to replace bulb?

Yes, you can replace with LED bulbs. Just make sure it's canbus enabled. A better option would be an HID kit though. The way your housing is designed, it'll make much better use of HID 360 light spread that mimics halogen vs LED surface mounted point spread. LEDs will still perform better than halogens with just brute force lumen increase, but you'll get reduced throw distant, dark spots, and light scatter compared to HIDs.

You will be better off with an HID retrofit kit. LED light is bright but the throw is typically short, there is extra heat, and the bulbs are big and typically require special cooling that would introduce moisture to the lenses if left open to vent. Some like the results but I can't help but to think that would be extremely difficult to lock the bulbs to the stock h7 lens.
You can take the housing apart and retrofit the entire projector to what you want but that will require lots of time and effort. The h7 hid retrofit is going to be the best, easiest, with the greatest return.

LEDs have come along way, but still not there for retrofits ... I have LEDs for the High Beams, but retrofitted HIDs for the low beams ... not that difficult, plenty of help in the forums .... and yes, I'm still a little miffed that HIDs were not standard on these to begin with ... lol

I changed the stock halogens with white LED's. Pretty simple to do. Raise the truck, than access the bulbs thru the panels in the front wheel wells. I purchased the locking ring on eBay to mate the new LED bulb with the halogen fitting. The light is white and looks more representative of today's cars. The amount of light could be better, but I am relatively pleased. The bulbs do have cooling fans, but I don't hear them. I've had the bulbs installed for 9 months now without any problems.

I have the below in my C300. Its pretty close to the factory DRL. Brighter than OEM bulbs too.

I have purchased (from amazon) and installed Hikari Ultra LED Headlight Bulbs Conversion Kit -H7 with the H7 LED Headlight Bulb Retainers/Holder/Adapter and it looks good and bright; however, the throw is shorter compared to HID. I have also used Philips xtreme vision h7 prior to the LED replacement. Either solution works way better than the stock halogen bulbs and yes, I can't believe HID is not a standard lighting option. oh well... life goes on.
