Battery Recondition

I've got a 2014 GL350 that has about 75k miles and the battery is starting to go. I recently bought a CTEK charger and did a normal charge but am still experiencing very slow motor crank after sitting overnight in an unheated garage with ambients temps around 25 degrees. Was thinking about trying the recondition mode with the CTEK. Has anybody done that and if so has it helped? Can i do it without pulling the battery which is a pain? And the last question is how long does that mode take? Thanks for any feedback.

Your battery is 5 years old. That is pretty much end of it. Just buy a new battery.

YES - buy a new battery... you are lucky you are getting a "slow crank" warning - most times the battery drops below operating voltage - and you get GL-does-nothing-when-I-try-to-start..

Batteries have a finite life, they don't get cured by a charger. Time to buy a new battery.

i'm not against getting a new battery but was just curious. I know the agm batteries are a bit different than the wet kind. The CTEK is great for stored cars as it will do a pulse charge and not overload the battery like a normal trickle.
