All 166 models are equipped with electric power steering (EPS) so there's no fluid for the power steering system. There's no regular maintenance required for EPS. Usually EPS is more powerful, more fuel efficient and more reliable than hydraulic power steering system.

I asked me the same question, and by looking for it , I found a little white reservoir with a black cap on top of the engin, between the two air filter, hidden under the engin plastic lid....... looks to be empty.......who know what's this reservoir ?

The only thing more inconvenient than your electric steering reservoir running out of fluid is when your blinker fluid runs low. It creates a myriad of issues that can be a plague to your MB. Typically, the diesel versions run low because the excess oil spread by the leaking oil cooler will destroy the seal around the blinker fluid reservoir, which, by the way, is an engine out procedure to get the blinker fluid changed. Not only is the procedure difficult but it also requires 30 weight ball bearings and 766.422.1 blinker fluid. Don't buy the Pennzoil fluid, at half the price it may seem like a good deal, only the MB blinker fluid will work. While you are in there, make sure to change the headlight filters and installer valves.
