Looks great! I wouldn't change a thing, but it's your vehicle and personal preference.

the head lights ... living in country roads of SWFL and after almost a decade of HIDs, to go back to halogens was frustrating, and at my age (LOL) .. needed light for visibility and safety ...

There's a slew of posts/threads on here about HID retrofits ... search HID and there's one guy here AZN Optics that pairs 50w Morimoto bulbs with 35w Hylux ballasts ... i already had my bulbs so I just bought the ballasts from him 2 years now, not a single issue ... knock on hood ... lol

@serb ... when i got my ballasts, i wanted 50w but Hylux didn't make a 50w version and i got tired of searching and testing and returning incompatible ballasts so i went with the reliable hylux 35w ... i would sacrifice bulb life with a 50w ballasts even if nominal brightness compared to the 35w ballasts (FYI ... it is not an uncommon pairing of 50w bulbs with 35w ballasts) ...

That's totally normal programming due to stability and MPG concerns. And it's all automatic.

In fact, it actually lowers a little bit from the normal level at highway speeds to improve efficiency. When you pull off the highway and come to a stop you can watch carefully and actually see the truck rise a little bit back to the normal position.

There is. Theres a module you can buy that keeps getting posted on the forums to override the air suspension computer.

You should be looking for the fuse box under the driver side rear passenger seat.

i recently seen that obd2 suspension lowering plug in device. About 500$ for it.

Id recommend getting a stage one tune for it. Really makes it actually feel normal for a big v8 twin turbo motor.

exactly the same motor. Same motor in a bunch of other mercedes. It is 100% better than oem 450 power.

Some say 450 is not even detuned its completely same hp but i dont trust rumors.
Question is will the tranny and other components handle extra torque

Transmission is same as 550. Will handle everything fine. Some shops can tune your ECU to 550 tune.

Do you have to remove headlights to install hids?
very tight space
also you have to drill the dust cover?
