2013 GL350 post AEM emission modification

Had the AEM completed 7/9/2021 at 140,700 miles. So far so good. Drove the car about 400 miles over the weekend and can’t tell any difference in its operation. The only thing that might be slightly different is a downshift from final overdrive as power is applied to merge lanes or go up a pretty stout hill. If anything the engine idles quieter & at 55-60 MPH the fuel economy is showing 34 mpg on a long country road without and stops for 50 miles. Next week will tell a better story as it’s back to business as usual traveling the interstates on business trips.

So far I’m very pleased with the outcome.

Haven’t put enough miles on it yet to know. I will say that the #2. NOX sensor is normally indicating single digit numbers now when I’m looking at the live data on my scanner. Also, there is definitely a stronger urea smell in the exhaust.

Ditto.

And DEF usage has absolutely increased. I just had the first tank low indication since we've owned the truck. Normally it's topped off every 10K miles but after the modification it did not make it, so I'd guess that the usage really increased after the mod.

And just for a data point, I also just picked up the truck today from the dealer after the mass airflow sensor went bad. Covered under the AEM warranty with zero issues or questions. The sensor is integrated into a larger assembly and it looks like it's a ~$1200 part, although one can also get a remanufactured unit from MBUSA for about half that.

Got my Dieselgate fix on my 2014 GL350 a few weeks ago and sent in all the paperwork in order to get some cash back on the settlement. Has anybody sent their papers in and received a response/acknowledgement.?
Still sad MB spiked the diesel engine. Love it and would totally buy a new one.

Nope. I did to all online and NADA.

That said, the Judge only gave final approval to the class action settlement this past week. Hopefully, we'll hear something soon.
