CAR ARRIVED NEED WARRANTY WELP!
My 2015 GL550 with distronic arrived yesterday from Carvana with only 36700 miles and still under carvana’s 100day limited warranty. Still under 7 day return period. But i don’t think I will return the car because my whole family fell inlove with it unless there is a problem.
I took the GL to the dealership and to my surprised they recognized the car when they typed in the VIN because they told me the previous owner regularly serviced this vehicle at that dealership. So they knew that my car was perfect and well taken care of. But anyways, I still wanted it to be serviced and inspected and it came out perfect. They offered me an extended warranty of 5/60k for $8k and 4/48 for $7.6k. It was a little bit too much for me it would be a good deal if it was somewhere 3-5k. I’ve been told they don’t usually offer manufacturer’s warranty to 2016 and older but they made exception to my car since they knew it already and it has low mileage. Is this true?
Will I still get a better deal at 3rd party? I used to have an Cl 63 AMG and had a good experience with the 3rd party warranty but not great because they only payed a portion.
Must be nice to have a manufacturer’s warranty but $8k is a bit too much for me.
any recommendation on which 3rd party covers up to $250 labor hours that easy to deal with? Or stay with MB warranty but $8k. Can I get a cheaper MB warranty? Any tips?
thank you all!
Here’s the pic of my new 2015 Gl 550 🥰. I really want to keep her for good but if only she allows me.

-For a manufactures extension by Freedom Warranty, 5 years / up to 100k miles, $4,595 covered for $275 in labor an hour, repairs accepted at all Mercedes Benz dealers in North America. 0% financing is available.
-The dealer puts tons of money on top of their warranties, I suggest going direct.
-I believe third party is your only option at this point because of the age of the vehicle, so they may be quoting you for a CPO warranty if they are saying it is from Mercedes, if not then I think you're getting a Fidelity?
-The best two 3rd party companies are Freedom Warranty and Fidelity, Fidelity is a couple hundred dollars more on average when going direct, when purchasing at then dealer.... you get quotes wayyyyy to high like the $8,000
Contact me at (855) 924-1333 or tgibson@highline-autos.com for an example contract on the Freedom Warranty or if you have any other questions!

Do your research on any aftermarket warranty. Check the BBB site and if you see a poor score or loads of negative reviews, you may want to consider a different provider.

It is MB’s warranty. They gave me the brochure and everything of their manufacturer’s warranty. Spoke with their financial director in person and he told me if my car breaks, no questions ask, they’ll give me a loaner while the fix the car. But $8k is little too much for me too bad. I was surprised they offered me because they told me the miles still under warranty but not the year and also they were the MB dealership who sold and did all the maintenance of my vehicle. what a small world. But it would be perfect deal if it is somewhere from 3k-5k. $8k is steep for me I can buy a work van for $8k

But anyways, this post is solely for what you guys think if I should take it or if there are out there cheaper, and i know not better, or at-least closer coverage to it.
Here is the quote. This is a great purpose for the ones who wants to know if their 2017 and older can get a manufacturer’s warranty. The answer is Yes in some extent.
