I broke the little plastic connector on the hose that connects to the M278 driver side airbox and intake manifold. The back of the hose says "HNBR 33W12" but I cannot find this part number with this information, or on any diagram online.
Does anyone know where to get this part or what number it is? The entire hose and connector to the manifold would be ideal.
Thank you for sharing this link, very helpful. I was able to find it in the diagrams as a "Vent line at charge air intercooler". Unfortunately I do not see and US based websites that will sell this part. Perhaps I have to call the dealer?
I know this is probably not what you're looking for, but interestingly here is A 2780103103 in the bag and doesn't appear to have that plastic part you're looking for:
A little extra digging, I think your diagram is off, there is a mystery part 350 that I think you are looking for. Maybe call your local dealer and send them this link and maybe they can help.

Thanks for the reply and help. That is an interesting find, I don't understand how these two almost-identical diagrams could be different on this? The plastic piece is clearly a part of #340 on the first diagram, and a 'new piece' on the second. I was able to find the original #340 part number, hopefully with the plastic clip, on the parts supply websites. I guess we will see when it arrives if it has the clip.
Part Number Part Name Price Quantity Total: 278-010-31-03 Bleed Line $31.12 1 $31.12

Hi,
Did you order this part by chance?
Could you share a picture of how it looks like?

Thanks for your help!
I did buy it, and it did not have the end on it that I hoped it would (plastic piece shown by red arrow in original post)
unfortunately I think I threw it away last week because I sold the car. I’ll check again and post a photo if I have it.
Do you by chance know that part/ connector that connects to this plastic piece (as seen in the top left of your picture)?
I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking. Are you asking what connects to the “circular” plug that I have a red arrow on? If so it is a sensor, you can see I have it unplugged. I would guess it is a MAP sensor or similar.
if you are referred to something else please clarify.

Hi,
yes, that is correct. I need a replacement for that plug and try to identify what part that is. Maybe I can then look for the hose that leads to the MAF sensor.
I thought you might have come across that hose when searching for your circular connector.

I still may not understand what you are looking for.
Are you looking for the sensor that goes into the circular "T" plastic piece, the "T" plastic piece itself, or the rubber hose that connects to the "T plastic piece"? Or all the above?
I was looking for the "T" plastic piece, which I believe is part # 350 in the updated diagram that another user posted. I hoped it would be included in part #340 in the image I posted, but it was not. There is an error in these diagrams somehow.
Part #340, which I bought, was the rubber hose and the other end of the plastic connector, but not the T I wanted. Unfortunately I just threw this away and cant get a picture for you.
I cannot find the sensor in the MB diagrams; but i know this hose (#340) is the "vent line at charge air intercooler" and the sensor is almost certainly a pressure or temperature sensor for that. I looked around more in the MB diagrams to try and see the sensor but I cannot find it. Perhaps a dealer service department could give you some more luck.
I may be incorrect in assuming that is a sensor; it could actually be an air connection. Sorry, I have sold this car and am far from an M278 expert.
From looking at someother photos and sensors, I suspect that could be the "fuel vapor vent line", and that circular plug is where it taps into the air going into the charge air cooler.

Sorry for any confusion caused!
And thanks for trying to help!
I added the picture with the piece in question circled in green.
So, those links seem to show the correct part, it's just not clear what is included in the hose as there seem to be multiple part numbers and prices for 010...
Hopefully this is a good starting point to find out!
The Engine Crankcase Vent Valve (278 010 04 31) has a similar connector, but I don't think that is the one
I think if you buy the part number 2780103403 you will get this connector as well as the hoses (and maybe sensor) upstream. This is more than you want but should be a guarantee.
If you google that number you will see real photos (not diagrams) from various places including ebay.
