Good point. I didn't think anyone could be more anxious than Sam until I read 1Adam12's posts! Adam, be patient as supply will come once we work through foreign demand.
Saw the white Gl63 at the Chicago auto show this week. Looks real good in person. I talked to the MB rep - which I appreciate is just a hired show gun - about my frustration in being no closer to knowing when I will get one than I was in Nov when I placed the order. He knew less about the car than just about every poster on this board - so nothing new there.

On Bay area there is a Diamond White w/Black Designo confirmed - however with Satin Ash interior.. no Black Piano Lacquer for SF yet... another interesting "on order" comment...

that porcelain interior is awesome, it is designo, not quilted, has standard amg lines across seats and door panels, amg decals, designo decal on lacquer dash- very very nice; i def like that better than the quilted design with designo badging everywhere-- although for some odd reason the desgino badge on the lacquer dash (over glove compartment) doesnt bother me much- i know thats weird and i dont like the ones on the seat..

South Ocean1 - You are right. Adam has me beat by a long shot. I would never dream of paying more than MSRP especially when the production may pick up after June.

I also thought the Porcelain interior looked really good with the black dash/carpets and piano black trim. I think it would look great with Iridium Silver if that remains your color choice. As Sraza commented, I don't think the quilted pattern would enhance the the look here. It is really light and is not a color I could, unfortunately, consider with kids.
Hope you can see it in person at the Dallas show.

yup- i think the s has a softer feel and gl slighlty firmer- which is great for an suv-
and yes cleaning the porcelain will be a task- one i chose not to deal with-
black def the best- auburn brown designo looks awesome too- not seen any in person; this just based on pics

car arrived at the dealership today.... good thing I did not pick it up earlier as I received an email about a further 1% rate reduction from MB head office !?! If they actually end up giving me the discount I will pick it up on the 25th!

I would Leatherique clean and condition the Porcelain 1st chance I got - I think that would add some awesomeness, the Porcelain Designo in the GL just fels a bit "dry" to me..

At last I have a build date for the 550 with designo - last decade of May. Now I have 4 months to decide. Hopefully the GL63 allocation comes through in that time.

That build sounds great! I am also jealous that you get the AMG package option for the GL350 in Canada. The GL350 with the AMG sport package is really an ideal combo - far more logical than the GL63 . . .
Pls post pictures when you can.

At least you now have an outside bound on when you may receive a new GL. I keep thinking we will get an update from MB anytime that they have managed to increase the US allocations thus giving us build slots this spring. But that seems less and less realistic as the spring approaches.
I remain very curious on what you will decide to do if the GL63 is not close in May. Maybe we should start a poll

"GL63 Production Delays
We are in ongoing negotiations with Germany to increase production as well as pull forward capacity to meet current demand. Germany has assured us that they are doing everything possible with both production and suppliers to fulfill the demand."

As I previously mentioned, my dealer is saying that there will be no GL63's before late June. No idea if that is correct or an excuse but thought I would pass along. I have done a lot of business with this dealer and they have been accurate in the past.

Current allocations will be built in March and so they will be delivered before June. I think your dealer is hoping to get a spot in the next allocation but to say that NONE of the GL63s will be delivered until late June is misleading and not correct.
