Any news when the GLA is going to arrive

I was hoping some members can help,When is the GLA arriving in Canada/USA. I called MB Canada and was told around August also asked about the launch party and being put on the list.
He said no details have been released yet...
I don't hear much buzz about the GLA around MBworld like the CLA, before I buy on the spot I want to know more details about the vehicle.... like drive it & review everything.
I wasn't happy with the Lexus 200h and the 2014 Mazda 3 Hatch is amazing for 30k.
Was just wondering if there's internal info someone can please leak because I'm ready to buy

Thank you

What was the starting price and the option groups, also did you pay invoice or is there special right now.
I've been cross shopping with the 2015 Mazda 3 GT, but I'm not paying over 2k for Navi like the CLA builder quotes.
I understand a Mazda vs MB are different levels but features compared to money are almost equal.
This is my first post here. I have also one on order arriving early September but I live in London. Mine is 220 CDI. I also test drove CLA on the same day. cars are aimed at different drivers but I liked GLA loads more. more space and more comfortable which is what I was looking for

I did just get tickets to the launch party thats happening on thursday night in NYC...not sure if this is the "official" launch party or just a local event, but ill share info thursday night as I get it.
"well, MB USA is heavily advertising the roll out of the 250...they want 250 inventory on hand asap" he says he has a 45 equipped the way I want on order, but he's no longer giving a date. I asked if I'd be better off ordering and he said delivery would be december at best(but he obviously wants to pre-sell his incoming 45's, and seems frustrated that he honestly cannot get a delivery date on cars that are already manufactured...this seems nuts to me...like somewhere in the chain 45's are being parked to make room for 250's coming behind.)

The other day he assured me that he had "just the car you wanted" in the pipe but it was delayed by the gla250's being delivered. Thursday he had ONE available but in black(don't want) and with a spoiler(don't want). Now today he has another one available in white but without the AMG seat upgrade. With this new quote came the warning "these will be extremely rare, they will not make many". I like the salesman, I love the service dept...but if he doesn't get his story straight I'll put off the "impulse buy" and see what the market looks like in six months.
pretty confident he's shopping his black gla45 around to other dealers looking for a car for me.

If you get a GLA45 in this "1st release" you will be a very happy camper - "2nd release" will be December and those GLA45's are "locked in" on features/specs now - to "build" a new/fresh/exact GLA45 is 5-month delivery .
Your "salesman" feels from you that you are not serious - just lookie loo - if you are serious then you have about 1 week to find and grab the best match of 1st arrival closest to what you want... then "poof" that's gone.
Just trying to help buddy..
He said delivery on this vehicle was 4-6 weeks.
My dealer is very aware that I'm not a looky loo as I have purchased three vehicles from him.
He IS still a salesman...when I asked about the GLK AMG pending he said "no, I doubt that car is happening" ...now I'm reading this car may be at the Paris auto show...if that car is even a concept at Paris I'm going to hound my dealer to take a deposit and put me on some kind of list, I may get a used ML63 to tide me over.
You're right about the small stuff, the hood brow will not be noticeable. The Aluminum dash is hideous, and the hatch thing is suddenly very important as my gimpy hip makes getting out to close the hatch a royal pita. Obviously whomever is putting something in the hatch that I have opened will be shutting it!
Rear is reminiscent of a Juke, maybe, front is unmistakable Benz, side looked a bit bland, but then again, both examples I saw today were black, which doesn't suit this car
Event was really nice with nice little for stations offering different things, valet service (very helpful, as it was like a monsoon hit today), and a small band playing good music.
Wasn't that impressed with the GLA...just didn't feel special. Maybe it was because both of them were black inside and out?
GLA 250 sat very high on its springs. GLA45 sat nicely, but that suspension option is not available with the GLA 250.
Getting in and put of the rear is annoying, as you brush up against the top of the wheel well, and lip above it. with lots of in/out traffic, I can see that area betting scratched up.
Would be nice if rear headrests completely lowered to the level of the seat, like in the W245 B class, as the view out the rear window is tight as it is.
C class is very nice. with the way I would equip both, it only works out to be $2.5-3k or so more (also since it needs less external upgrades to make it look good...GLA needs AMG pack, and metallic paint, I think, whereas the C doesn't).
Tough choice. waiting until the BMW Active Toured gets here before deciding, though. CLA is also not ruled out... but GLA is now looking leas likely for me.

Delivery time from production completition to port here in the US is going to be six weeks minimum - longer than other Mercedes sedans/GLK's because GLA's are built in the Euro boonies so to speak.
There are other dealers out there right now that have unsold 1st shot GLA45's at port now that are not yet sold - and there are other dealers out there right now that have changeable production orders for 2nd decade Oct production...
What dealer in their right mind would "trade" a changeable October production slot for a GLA45 for a January production slot ? Instead of a celandar 2014 sale/delivery - trade for a February 2015 sale/dlivery.
If you want a rig the way you want it - and want to be driving it before Christmas - go out and get it !
Well they have arrived. Looks like every dealer got at least 10 of them.
