Someone busted up my Grill

Noticed today that my grill is messed up. Someone must have backed into it.

I've been looking online for a replacement, before I call the dealer, but all I've found is an AMG grill. I really don't want to be that guy that puts AMG on their non AMG vehicle.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-Benz-AMG-GLA-45-AMG-Radiator-Grille-For-GLA-X156-Genuine-New-/321547984536?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4addc0de98&vxp=mtr
Anyone know where I could try looking?

sucks. if that makes it easier for you, at least yours is barely noticeable. (unless you're the one who needs to notice.)

i had my driver side door seriously bumped in a parking lot, 6 days after i bought it. for extra fun, the insurance got skeptical. they told me they cannot take a claim for a vehicle that was added on the policy for less than a week. had to wait for a door for more than a month.

Got a quote from the dealer for $321.88. Not terrible, but annoying that I have to deal with this less than two months after getting the car.

I'd replace the standard grille with the AMG in a heartbeat. I'm thinking about it seriously but just haven't pulled the trigger. At least I found out it's only $150 for the labor because of removing the bumper.

I say go for it!

My Dad hit a deer last year with his C300 (w204) and unbelievably it only damaged the grill. He thinks he caught a foot while it was jumping.
The grill shattered into like 50 pieces but absolutely everything else was ok.

Anyway, he decided to try an EBay AMG grill. It sort of fit but it took a lot of yanking, pulling, and drilling some extra screws where they didn't belong to make it look right. No matter, 6 months later he ran into a post sticking out of the ground buried in snow. He went back to the factory grill when it got repaired.

Needless to say, I double check the security of my seatbelt when I drive with him.

If I decide to do the change, I'll let you know. The price will be the cost of shipping.

AN AMG grill is not something people frown on from y experience. Its adding the AMG badge that will get you funny looks on the forum.
https://mbworld.org/forums/clk55-amg...mg-posers.html
Its a heated debate on the AMG CLK forum 2400 post and 213k views.

Then again it is your car do what ever you want to it.

From the Images on Ebay, it looks like the AMG logo is removable from the grill. Can anyone confirm? I would get the "AMG" style grill without the AMG badge. I even feel weird because my GLA has AMG wheels as part of the sports package.

The grille comes without the logo so no "poser" status!

The AMG grill is a nice upgrade. As long as you aren't putting amg badges on other parts of the car and keeping the original badging, I highly doubt anyone will think you're trying to pull a fast one.

In hindsight, MB should offer the AMG grille (sans badging) with the Sport Package "AMG" body kit.

Agree MB should have offered that grille with sport package. Would have eliminated "poser" question.

Personally I wouldn't swap out the grille on my GLA 250, because it comes too close to "poser-ism" in my opinion. On the other hand it doesn't trouble me at all that my sport package wheels have "AMG" on them since that is an MB authorized option.
